Booking systems and customer portals built around your business
Most off-the-shelf booking platforms force your business to bend to them. Fees per booking, branding you can't change, integrations that don't quite fit. A custom system removes that tax and gives you something your customers actually want to use.
What this typically looks like
Booking and portal projects come in a few common shapes. Pick the one that sounds like your situation:
Real example: Guide Connect
Guide Connect is a current venture where I'm solving exactly this problem for the tourism industry. Tour operators in Iceland used to staff guides via WhatsApp groups and Excel files. Guide Connect replaces that with proper job posting, guide profiles, booking confirmations, and payments. Built so a single operator can run it without needing a developer on standby.

Common questions
How long does it take?
A first usable version of a focused booking flow is typically 3–6 weeks. Customer portals depend on how many roles and how much existing data needs migrating. Plan for 6–10 weeks for something polished.
Can it integrate with my existing tools?
Usually yes. Stripe, Mailgun, e-conomic, MobilePay, Outlook, Google Calendar, Airtable, your accounting export. These are the common integration points and they all have proper APIs.
What if I outgrow the off-the-shelf tool later?
Most clients arrive here because they already did. The custom build is designed so you can swap pieces in and out as your business changes. No re-platforming every two years.
Will I be locked in to working with you?
No. The codebase is yours, hosted on infrastructure you control. I document decisions so the next developer can read the code and pick it up.

Stuck in SaaS that doesn't fit?
Tell me what you're booking today, who manages it, and what's broken. I'll sketch what a custom version looks like and whether it's worth doing.
